Why I’m Running

Krista Griffith is fighting for a Delaware where families can thrive —
where affordability, safety, and opportunity aren’t partisan talking points, but promises we keep.

As a mom, a former Deputy Attorney General, and an advocate, Krista brings both experience and empathy to Dover — fighting for affordability, healthcare access, strong schools, privacy protections, safe communities, and respect for every Delawarean.

When I was first elected in 2018, I promised to be a voice for our community — to lead with integrity, compassion, and common sense. Since then, I’ve worked every day to deliver results you can see and values you can trust. From preserving open space to building playgrounds, I’ve worked with neighbors on important projects that improve the quality of life for everyone in the 12th District. I’ve championed and supported legislation that has strengthened public education, expanded access to affordable healthcare, and protected Delaware’s most vulnerable — children, seniors, and families working to make ends meet.

I’m proud of that progress, but I know there’s still more to do.

Everywhere I go, Delaware families tell me the same thing: it’s getting harder to keep up. From grocery bills and energy costs to housing and childcare, the price of everyday life keeps climbing. I’m running for re-election because I believe our government should make it easier — not harder — for families to live, work, and thrive here in Delaware.

As a former Deputy Attorney General, I’ve spent my career fighting for others — standing up for fairness, safety, and justice. As a mom and community advocate, I’ve seen firsthand how policy decisions impact families. And as your State Representative, I’ve worked across party lines to find solutions that make Delaware stronger.

My work isn’t finished. I’ll continue to:

  • Lower costs for working families — from groceries to energy to healthcare.

  • Improve education so every child in Delaware has access to a world-class public school.

  • Protect our freedoms — from reproductive rights to personal privacy.

  • Keep communities safe through smart, effective public safety and justice reform.

  • Support local businesses and innovation that create real opportunity and good-paying jobs.

Delaware’s 12th District deserves a leader who listens, collaborates, and delivers. I’m running for re-election to keep fighting for what matters most — strong families, safe communities, and an affordable future for all of us.
